Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement

The KSV e-Journal of Multidisciplinary Approaches on Technology and Applications (KSV e-JMATA) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. The journal follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure integrity, transparency, and accountability in scholarly publishing.

Responsibilities of Authors

  • Authors must ensure that their submissions are original, accurate, and free from plagiarism.
  • All sources, data, and references must be properly acknowledged.
  • Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously (no multiple or redundant submissions).
  • Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the research.
  • Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed at the time of submission.
  • Authors must promptly notify the editorial board if a significant error is discovered in their published work so that corrections or retractions can be issued.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback to improve the quality of manuscripts.
  • All reviews must be conducted in a confidential manner; manuscripts must not be shared or discussed with others.
  • Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the author(s).
  • Any potential conflict of interest with the manuscript should be immediately disclosed to the editor.

Responsibilities of Editors

  • Editors are responsible for making fair and unbiased decisions on all manuscripts, regardless of the authors’ background, affiliation, or nationality.
  • Decisions will be based solely on the academic merit, originality, and relevance of the submission.
  • Editors must ensure a transparent peer-review process and preserve the anonymity of reviewers and authors (in double-blind review).
  • Editors must not use unpublished material from submitted manuscripts for their own research.
  • Editors will take appropriate action in cases of suspected misconduct, plagiarism, or unethical practices.

Responsibilities of the Publisher (FCS-KSV)

  • The Faculty of Computer Science, Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya, as the publisher of KSV e-JMATA, is committed to ensuring that good publishing practices are maintained.
  • The publisher works with editors to maintain the integrity of the academic record and support corrections, clarifications, and retractions where necessary.
  • The publisher ensures open access availability and long-term preservation of all published content.

Plagiarism & Research Misconduct

  • All submissions are subject to plagiarism screening using appropriate software tools before acceptance.
  • Instances of plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or unethical research practices will result in rejection or retraction of the article.

Retraction Policy

  • Articles may be retracted if found to contain major errors, ethical violations, or proven cases of misconduct.
  • A retraction notice will be issued to maintain transparency and inform readers.
