DATA PROTECTION TECHNOLOGIES IN CLOUD SECURITY: A REVIEW
Keywords:
Cloud Computing, Distributed Architecture, Threats, SecurityAbstract
The paradigm shift towards cloud computing across diverse sectors has increased the criticality of robust data protection methodologies. Cloud environments, characterized by their inherent features and distributed architectures, present unique challenges to safeguarding sensitive information against unauthorized access and cyber threats. The paradigm of cloud computing, while offering unprecedented scalability and cost-effectiveness through models like Software as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service, and Platform as a Service, introduces more security concerns, including data breaches, insider threats. A foundational element in establishing a resilient security framework within a cloud setting involves a meticulous assessment of the risks inherent in outsourcing data to third-party providers. Organizations must carefully consider the implications of shared infrastructure and the potential vulnerabilities that arise from multi-tenancy, where multiple customers share the same physical resources. Data security is a paramount concern, necessitating the implementation of stringent access control mechanisms to prevent unauthorized access to systems and organizational assets.
